IN-HOUSE TRAINING SESSIONS AT PARTNER UNIVERSITIES IN ARMENIA AND MOLDOVA
As part of joint efforts to modernize teacher education and align it with the green and digital transition, a series of in-house training sessions have been launched across partner universities in Armenia and Moldova. These sessions serve as a platform to present revised teacher education programs and collect valuable feedback from academic staff, ensuring that the new curricula are both innovative and responsive to the needs of modern education.
In-House Trainings in Armenia
From September 21–25, 2025, the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) hosted a series of in-house trainings with the academic staff of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Chair of Informatics and its Teaching Methodology, Faculty of Special and Inclusive Education
The sessions focused on introducing the revised teacher education programs and engaging faculty members in meaningful discussions to refine and strengthen them. This collaborative process represents a vital step towards integrating green and digital competencies into teacher education and preparing for the piloting of the updated programs.
Building on these efforts, Shirak State University also organized an in-house training session with its academic staff. The university introduced updated programs in English Language and Literature (Bachelor), Special Education (Master), Geography (Master)
The session aimed to familiarize faculty members with the revised curricula and gather feedback for further improvement. These discussions reinforce the role of regional universities in shaping future-ready teacher training programs across Armenia.
Similarly, Yerevan State University (YSU) has successfully completed its in-house training session as part of the project’s ongoing activities. The event brought together academic staff to explore the updated teacher education programs and share insights to ensure their continuous improvement and alignment with emerging educational priorities.
In-House Trainings in Moldova
Parallel to these developments, project partner universities in Moldova have also launched in-house training sessions with their academic staff.
Ion Creangă Pedagogical State University introduced updated programs in Special Psychopedagogy, English Language and Multicultural Education, Integrated Approach to Learning Contents on the STEAM Model
Alecu Russo State University of Bălți presented revised programs in: English and Spanish, Mathematics and Informatics, Management of Inclusive Education
These sessions provided an opportunity to present the updated curricula, engage academic staff in discussions, and collect constructive feedback. The contributions from faculty members are essential to refining the programs and ensuring they effectively integrate sustainability, inclusivity, and digital innovation into teacher education in Moldova.
The in-house training sessions held in Armenia and Moldova mark a significant milestone in the project’s implementation. They highlight the strong collaboration among partner universities and their shared commitment to advancing teacher education reform in line with green and digital transformation priorities.
By fostering dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning among faculty members, these activities lay the groundwork for piloting modernized teacher education programs that equip future educators with the competencies needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
