UNIVERSITY OF VALLADOLID HOSTED OVER 40 REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PROJECT
The Faculty of Education and Social Work at the University of Valladolid hosted over 40 representatives from partner universities and organizations from Armenia, Moldova, the Czech Republic, and Portugal for a week of training and exchange of experience.
The training program began with welcome speeches of Susana Álvarez, Vice-Rector for Educational Innovation and Digital Transformation at the University of Valladolid, and Ruth Pinedo González, Director of VirtUVa — the university’s center for online education, training, and educational innovation.
In her speech, project coordinator and ASPU Vice-Rector Marianna Harutyunyan emphasized the importance of the T4GREEN project in advancing the educational systems of Armenia and Moldova. She expressed gratitude to the University of Valladolid for organizing the training week at a high level and for its effective participation and input in the implementation of the project.
The first day continued with group sessions focused on reviewing existing programs in ICT, foreign languages, and special education to align them with the green and digital transition — one of the project’s key objectives. Partner universities shared their progress and discussed ongoing activities in these directions.
On the second day, participants engaged in practical group work on green and digital transition methodologies, followed by a lecture sharing insights from the “PROMISED” project.
As part of the visit, the delegation also traveled to the city of Segovia, home to the Faculty of Education campus of the University of Valladolid. Staff from the Segovia campus presented best practices in teacher training tailored to the demands and developments of the 21st century.
The final day of the training included discussions and evaluations of the project’s current progress. Victor Cordas, the project’s external evaluator from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, presented the outcomes of the external evaluation conducted over the past 18 months and shared key recommendations.
The visit concluded with a coordination meeting where the team summarized recent activities and outlined the next steps for the project’s implementation.
