A TRAINING WEEK AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MASARYK

From December 9 to 13, partner organisations from Armenia, Moldova, Spain and Portugal participated in a working visit to Masaryk University in the Czech Republic. The project, coordinated by the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU), was led by ASPU’s Vice-Rector for HR Management and International Cooperation, Marianna Harutyunyan.

The visit aimed to explore teacher education reforms in the Czech Republic, particularly in the context of green and digital transitions. Additionally, collaborative activities with partners from Portugal, Spain, and the Czech Republic focused on developing a National Concept for Teacher Education.

During the training, Simona Koryčánková, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Masaryk University, presented the faculty’s strategic directions and educational programs, emphasizing sustainability and digitalization. Richard Hubl, a representative of the Rector’s Office, also discussed the university’s sustainability initiatives.

Participants visited LIPKA, a school specializing in environmental education, and the Teiresias Support Centre for Students with Special Needs to learn about inclusive education approaches.

A project coordination meeting was also held, where committee representatives reviewed the progress of the past six months and outlined the next steps in the project’s implementation.

The visit concluded with a recap of key achievements from the training sessions.
